Jump Bug Description

Jump Bug, released in 1981, holds the distinction of being the first platform game to feature smooth horizontal and vertical scrolling. Developed by Alpha Denshi under contract for Hoei/Coreland, it introduced innovative gameplay elements to arcades. In this game, players take control of a bouncing car as it traverses diverse environments, including a city, pyramid, and underwater setting. Unlike typical scrolling games of that era, the main character, a buggy, continuously jumps. The height and speed of the fall can be adjusted using the up and down keys. Additionally, players have the ability to shoot down various enemies encountered throughout each stage. Points are earned by collecting treasure, eliminating enemies, and leaping on clouds.

Experience the exhilaration of Jump Bug on Classic Reload. To begin the game, simply press 5 to insert credits or coins, 1 to select, and utilize the arrow keys for movement. Take action with Alt or Ctrl. Enjoy the nostalgic thrill of this groundbreaking platform game and embark on an exciting bouncing adventure.
