The Adventures of Batman & Robin Description

Adventures of Batman and Robin is based on popular DC Comics superheroes Batman and Robin and specifically the hit animated series Batman: The Animated Series. The object is to defeat the Joker and to fight crime in Gotham City. The action takes the duo to an amusement park and other places where supercriminals do their nasty work. Nintendo Power criticized the game for not giving Robin a more active role. Otherwise, he supplies Batman with his moral support.

Most of the major villains from the animated series appear as bosses with the notable exceptions of The Mad Hatter and Mr. Freeze though both of those characters do appear as bosses in the Sega Megadrive version of the game. Additionally three of the characters are not fought directly. Two-Face is never actually fought in the game as his level revolves around you taking control of the Batmobile and firing at his car to stop him. Likewise the Riddler is never actually fought as he uses chess pieces in a virtual reality world he has created to attack you with. Poison Ivy is never fought directly either and her boss is a giant Venus Fly Trap which she hides behind and occasionally comes out of hiding to shoot arrows at you but she still cannot be attacked even when doing that.
