Mouse clicks are used to move a skinny guy across a multi-story skyscraper as part of Mad TV's primary interface in the game. The player's character can access different areas that are depicted in cutscenes by clicking on various doors. The day of programming comes to a close after nine hours of play on each day.
The player must schedule seven hours of television every day, with a commercial break for each of those programs. The game offers a variety of possibilities for programming, including the ability to create your own shows or buy the rights to old movies and TV episodes.
