Alex Kidd in High Tech World Description

Alex Kidd in High Tech World was a side-scroller in the Alex Kidd series, created for the Sega Master System.

This game is actually a modified version of the Japanese Master System game Anmitsu Hime: From Amakara Castle, which was based on a Japanese television series called Anmitsu Hime. Alterations made to the English version include altered sprites, English text, and a new story line.

These alterations cause a plot-hole in the Alex Kidd storyline, as this game features an appearance of Alex's father in the very beginning, even though his father was missing in Alex Kidd in Miracle World, until being found at the end of Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. Furthermore, while a large variety of characters exist in the game, none of the previously established characters in the Alex Kidd universe (including Alex's brother) are anywhere to be found.

It can be declared that Alex Kidd was simply placed into this game regardless of his previous and future adventures and storyline, and therefore this game probably shouldn't be regarded as part of the main continuity.

This was a short game comparing to Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Alex Kidd in Shinobi World. It consists of four stages only. The first one was Prince Alex's palace, where he was supposed to collect the eight pieces of the map leading to the new arcades near his town. After that he ran into a forest full of ninjas. On his way, he entered a village. The last stage was another forest with monsters and ninjas.
